Submitting Photos to the Surviving Steam Photo Archive

Your photos are always welcome here on the Surviving Steam Photo Archive. Without them, this site could not grow, and would soon become out of date. As much as I enjoy travelling around and photographing surviving steam locomotives, I can't be everywhere at once! So, if you have any photos that you would like to contribute, please e-mail me at rjenkins@railfan.net.

Here are some things to keep in mind when sending photographs:

• Photographs should be recent, preferrably taken within the last five years, definitely within the last ten.

• Subjects do not have to be limited to the states already on the site - I can always add new state pages!

• Scanned images should be JPEG format, minimum 640 pixels wide (or 640 pixels high for vertical format photos) but not more than 250K. Please e-mail me before sending image files to make sure I'm ready for them!

• If you do not have access to a scanner, I can scan them for you (prints or slides). Your photos will be returned to you after they are scanned.

• The Surviving Steam Photo Archive is strictly non-profit, and I can't offer any payment for photo contributions. However, you will receive name credit in the caption beside the photo when it appears on the site.
